The return of the floor

This week and last, a work of art has been taking shape with the return of the original flooring in the ‘house’ end of the church. We lifted it some time ago to install underfloor heating. We have redesigned the flooring from its original position. It was a patchwork of yellow tiles and flagstones. Now all the yellow tiles are in the area of the kitchen and living room with flagstones recreating the aisle and dining area. Minny and Ben are working very hard to meet our demanding specifications! Or should I say the demanding specifications of Christ Church. We aim to keep the aesthetic integrity of the building we love, so it’s critical that a major job such as this looks right. So far, it’s looking amazing!
