    the apple tree in august

        A robust looking apple tree this month, in full leaf. The tree’s one and only apple is still there and has grown despite being nibbled in various places. The buds of the ivy flowers on are emerging and the blackberries that scramble up the tree are ripening. Summer is flying by at hyper speed…it’s hard to keep up!…

      The apple tree in the churchyard is smothered in blossom. During our time here, I don’t think it’s ever had so much blossom before.
