March in the Churchyard

The emergance of the yellow flowers of spring ~ daffodils, celandines and primroses ~ shrouded twice this month by a drifting snow.

Temperatures have plummeted at times meaning that keeping the boiler topped up with wood has been a top priority! We spend a lot of time these day gathering and processing wood in preparation for future cold winters.

Heavy snowfall has also meant several trips up to the belfry to clear it of snow before it melts and drips down through the tower.

At least you are rewarded with a fine view while you’re up there…
