Poppy Trail and Powis Castle

We have some exciting news about our Poppy Trail launch this weekend… We are delighted to be linking up with Powis Castle who are offering free entry over the weekend to those who have attended our launch event!
Historically Powis Castle has been closely connected to Christ Church, especially during the First World War with the burial of Percy, Viscount Clive who died from wounds during the Battle of the Somme, so this is an apt opportunity to visit both places and see their WW1 commemoration in the gardens.
The Poppy Trail launch is this Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September at 11am with a talk and tour of the churchyard to discover the stories behind the memorials to the fallen of the Great War.
