Dawn Chorus

Sunrise

On Sunday I got up very very very very very very very early to listen to the dawn chorus as it was International Dawn Chorus Day. It was very lovely seeing the sun rise and listening to the birds sing. Did you know that it sounds louder because the air is cool and still at dawn? This year was special because there less noise pollution from cars.

Here is a video that I recorded, make sure to turn the volume up so you can hear it!

At this time we could hear Blackbirds, Goldcrests, Wrens and Blackcaps. These four species of bird were the loudest. I could also hear the Peacocks from Powis Castle!
