200 years old!

The organ gets a little overlooked as it sits tucked away in a corner of the church, and only really comes into its own during an open day when it gets played if we are fortunate enough to be visited by someone talented enough to actually play it! We realised this week that we have missed its 200th birthday! It was built in 1813 by William Gray. Originally it was housed in St Mary’s Parish Church, Welshpool and it came to Christ Church in 1854. One day it will sing again with a ‘voice of melody’. Image of the Week #99
