In honour of Remembrance Sunday, I photographed this gravestone which is adjacent to the south side of the church, along side the path. It is part of the Morris family tomb and this was the inscription which caught my eye… ‘In memory of Lieut Charles Herbert Morris, 13th RWF attached to 59th RAF. Born Feb 4th 1892. Churchyard wall

The boys love to sit on the churchyard wall and feed the horses in the field. The grass has just been cut, so there are arm fulls of ready cut grass to be thrown down to the waiting horses… with a fabulous view over Welshpool to boot! Image of the Week #55

    Nestling in the trees…

One of our favourite foraging haunts, the field behind the church. Today looking for blackberries and sloes. And one of our favourite views of the church… Image of the Week #53

    Quarry view

During the wonderful weather this week, we’ve been exploring the hills and meadows around Welshpool, including going up through Bron-y-Buckley Woods and across the fields to the top of the old quarry. It was funny to be standing on the very hill that the stone came from to build the church, whilst looking at it. Image of the Week #45

Hold on tight and try not to look down!

We erected a scaffold tower to complete some exterior works, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to get some high level shots of the church. However, at the top of the ladder I really didn’t fancy the idea of climbing any further on my own, so this is as high as I got! Not high enough for…
