    Exploring the churchyard of St. Michaels, Trefeglwys.

        We had a family day out walking in the hills of Trefeglwys, which is Karl’s childhood stomping ground and we couldn’t resist exploring the churchyard. The slate headstones were beautiful. I could have spent hours photographing each individual one! The weathered colours, the Victorian designs and the lettering were fascinating and inspiring… I shall let the photographs speak…

      Fred had a special presentation from Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust to show their appreciation for completing his 2 Peak Challenge and raising a massive £278 for their ’30 days to save Dolforwyn’ appeal. They have a nice write up about it here. It has all been such a fantastic experience for him!

    Fred’s 2 peak challenge

      Fred undertook a personal challenge of conquering the summits of Snowdon and Cnicht in two consecutive days and raising money for Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust’s Dolforwyn Woods Appeal.  Day 1 of the challenge and the weather was not ideal.     Beddgelert This past week we’ve been away holidaying in the mountains of Snowdonia. We hauled the caravan to Beddgelert and enjoyed days of walking up and down mountains, exploring castles, cycling in forests, flying over slate quarries (for some of us!) and running through the waves on the beach.     Fred is gearing up for his personal challenge to hike up two of Wales’ major mountains in two days – quite an undertaking for a 9 year old! He is hoping to conquer Snowdon and Cnicht on the 3rd and 4th August. Through sponsorship, he is raising money for Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust’s ‘Dolforwyn Woods Appeal’.
