    Open Days 2013

We have begun to prepare for our Open Days this year. Its always quite an undertaking preparing posters, going through all the information panels and tweeking them as well as preparing new ones. Bistort and bees

Bistort is now flowering in the graveyard. There’s a clump of it growing in the south side of the churchyard. I really like its pink spires amongst the gravestones. The bees like it too…  Image of the Week #39

    Now Showing… no more

    The Coronation window

The Coronation window. 60 years ago today was the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. There’s an interesting article by the BBC here about the ‘dazzling spectacle, solemn pledges and soaring music’ on the day. Image of the Week #37

    Evening light

The sunlight through the clerestory window caught my eye one evening this week. I love the pattern of the glass reflecting off the wall, with all its handmade imperfections and even the grime adding to the effect! Image of the Week #34
