    200 years old!

      The organ gets a little overlooked as it sits tucked away in a corner of the church, and only really comes into its own during an open day when it gets played if we are fortunate enough to be visited by someone talented enough to actually play it!     the apple tree in august

        A robust looking apple tree this month, in full leaf. The tree’s one and only apple is still there and has grown despite being nibbled in various places. The buds of the ivy flowers on are emerging and the blackberries that scramble up the tree are ripening. Summer is flying by at hyper speed…it’s hard to keep up!…

    Fred’s 2 peak challenge

      Fred undertook a personal challenge of conquering the summits of Snowdon and Cnicht in two consecutive days and raising money for Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust’s Dolforwyn Woods Appeal.  Day 1 of the challenge and the weather was not ideal.     Beddgelert This past week we’ve been away holidaying in the mountains of Snowdonia. We hauled the caravan to Beddgelert and enjoyed days of walking up and down mountains, exploring castles, cycling in forests, flying over slate quarries (for some of us!) and running through the waves on the beach.
