    This embroidered picture has been hanging in the south porch for longer than we’ve been here. We have started to restore the interior of the porch so the picture was taken down. I turned it over  to reveal this wonderful Victorian label by the picture framer – along with one of our numerous spider residents! Image of the Week #111

    Exploring the churchyard of St. Michaels, Trefeglwys.

        We had a family day out walking in the hills of Trefeglwys, which is Karl’s childhood stomping ground and we couldn’t resist exploring the churchyard. The slate headstones were beautiful. I could have spent hours photographing each individual one! The weathered colours, the Victorian designs and the lettering were fascinating and inspiring… I shall let the photographs speak…

      The apple tree in October is still green and in full leaf. The autumn rain and winds have started though, so how much longer the leaves will remain on the tree I don’t know.
